Movie Description
The Center of the World is a 2001 indie drama directed by Wayne Wang. The film centers on Richard (Peter Sarsgaard), a wealthy but lonely software engineer, who offers Florence (Molly Parker), a drummer and part-time stripper, a large sum of money to accompany him on a trip to Las Vegas for three days with some rules to follow. Despite their attempts to keep emotions detached, the boundaries blur as they start to know each other better. The film was shot on digital video and got mostly bad reviews except from Roger Ebert, who liked it.
