The Big Bird Cage is a 1972 exploitation film of the "women in prison" sub-genre. Written and directed by Jack Hill, the film stars Pam Grier and Sid Haig. The story follows a group of imprisoned women forced to labor under brutal conditions. Blossom (Grier) teams up with a radical guerrilla leader Django (Haig), to plot a daring mass escape from the prison.
