Movie Description
Stroszek is a 1977 film by German director Werner Herzog. Written specifically for Bruno S., the film was shot in Berlin, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. Most of the lead roles are played by non-actors.
In 2002, Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times called it "one of the oddest films ever made" when including it as one of his "Great Movies".
It is known that one of the last things Ian Curtis of the band Joy Division did, just prior to committing suicide in 1980, was watch the film, as well as listen to Iggy Pop's The Idiot.
