Movie Description

L'Innocente is a 1976 Italian drama film directed by Luchino Visconti. It was Visconti's last film, based on the novel The Intruder by Gabriele D'Annunzio. The movie stars Giancarlo Giannini as Tullio Hermil, a wealthy and self-centered aristocrat who is unconcerned when his wife, Giuliana (Laura Antonelli), begins an affair in response to his own adulterous pursuits. However, when Giuliana becomes pregnant by her lover, Tullio is gripped by a sudden surge of jealousy that leads to tragic consequences.
