Movie Description
From Beyond is a 1986 science fiction-horror film directed by Stuart Gordon. The film is based on the short story by H. P. Lovecraft. The plot follows Dr. Edward Pretorius (Ted Sorel) and his assistant Dr. Crawford Tillinghast (Jeffrey Combs), who have invented the machine called the "Resonator." The device stimulates the pineal gland, allowing those within its range to perceive and interact with creatures from another dimension. When the experiment goes wrong, it leads to terrifying encounters with these otherworldly beings. The movie also features actors Barbara Crampton and Ken Foree. While not as highly regarded as Gordon's film Re-Animator (1985), it is still well-liked among horror fans.
