Movie Description
Fluke is a 1995 American fantasy film directed by Carlo Carlei and is based on a 1977 novel by James Herbert. The story follows the journey of a man named Thomas, who dies in a car accident only to be reincarnated as a dog named Fluke. Retaining his human memories, Fluke sets out on a quest to reconnect with his human family, and in the process, learns valuable life lessons from his new canine perspective. The film offers viewers a unique take on the classic man's-best-friend narrative. Matthew Modine plays Thomas and voices Fluke. Samuel L. Jackson provides the voice for Rumbo, Fluke's best friend. Other actors in the cast include Nancy Travis, Max Pomeranc, and Eric Stoltz. Fluke was box-office poison and got lousy reviews.
