Flowers for Algernon is a 2000 television adaptation of the classic science fiction novel by Daniel Keyes. Charlie Gordon, a mentally challenged man, undergoes an experimental surgical procedure to enhance his intelligence. As Charlie's intellect rapidly increases, surpassing even that of the doctors who operated on him, he experiences the joys of learning and love for the first time. However, with his newfound intelligence comes challenges as he grapples with the complexities of human relationships and the impermanence of his condition.
