Body of Evidence is a 1993 American erotic courtroom thriller film directed by Uli Edel and written by Brad Mirman. The film stars Madonna as Rebecca Carlson, a woman who is charged with murder after her wealthy older lover dies under suspicious circumstances. Willem Dafoe plays Frank Dulaney, the lawyer who represents her. As the trial progresses, Rebecca and Frank begin a dangerous affair. The prosecution argues that Rebecca used her sexuality to manipulate her lover and kill him through extreme sexual acts, turning the courtroom into a spectacle of sex and suspense.
