Movie Description
A Kind of Loving is a 1962 British drama directed by John Schlesinger. Set in the early 1960s in Northern England, the film tells the story of Vic Brown (Alan Bates), a young draughtsman who enters into a hasty marriage with Ingrid Rothwell (June Ritchie) after she becomes pregnant. On top of that, Vic and Ingrid are forced to move in with Ingrid’s domineering mother, played by Thora Hird. Based on Stan Barstow's 1960 novel, A Kind of Loving is well regarded for its realistic portrayal of working-class life and relationships.
